Hey Beauty Dolls,
This Manicure Monday is dedicated to the little diva that made the color BLUE oh so fabulous. Cobalt blue and any other shade for that matter will forever be linked to one special little girl. Today I wore OPI’s Unforgretably Blue in remembrance of the media frenzy that surfaced on this same day a year ago. The birth of Ms. Blue Ivy Carter. I’m a self proclaimed media junkie! I stalk websites and blogs such as TMZ, YBF and other outlets for the latest and greatest gossip and there is no other story that made headlines more than the birth of this precious little diva. So today, this manicure is for you Baby Blue and Happy 1st Birthday!
PS..I’m definitely a Beyonce Fan!! Can’t ya tell?

Well BeautyDolls..It has been one hell of a year. 2012 has brought a lot of excitement, disappointments and growing pains, but the lessons and good experience that I have gained during this year has been incredible. I am all about positive energy, quotes and inspiration to keep me going on a daily basis, so this New Year Eve I decided to do something different . I created a vision board of quotes, biblical phrases and things that I expect to come to past in 2013. This board will be a constant reminder to me of the things that I promise myself for the new year. This year is about accountability for me and I’m owning it..flaws and all. I started beautyarmoire in July of 2012 with the intention of creating an outlet for all the things that I love. What I discovered is that blogging is more of a business to most rather than an outlet. I’m still unsure of where I want beautyarmoire to go in the future but I know that I want to publish great content for all of my readers. I have big plans for beautyarmoire in 2013 and I’m soooo excited!!! I’m not searching for a book deal, to attend fashion shows or have millions of views a day,but I will remain true to myself and deliver great beauty, fashion and lifestyle content.

Ohhh It’s definitely winter time..the temps are at a low 20′s and the wind is fidget. One of the worst things about cold weather is the damage that is has on your skin, if not properly cared for. One trick that I incorporate in my daily routine is a simple lip scrub. I inspire to have kissable lips always so I do the following steps to ensure that my lips are just that. In order to remove the dry and flaky skin I use a teaspoon of baking soda and mix with a teaspoon of tap water. Once the baking soda is paste like and thick, I began to rub that over my lips and let it sit for 15 minutes. I then remove the formula with a cool towel and my kissable lips are exposed and smooth. Just wanted to share one of my easy beauty secrets.

During this time of the year I’m shopping non stop on various sites for the perfect gift for family and friends. After visiting The Gap Kids and JCrew Kids I couldn’t help but notice how adorable some of the outfits are for little girls. I’m not talking about bright pink shirts with sparkles and bff written all over it, It’s full sequins skirts, brocade shift dress, gold slippers and faux fur jackets that are too cute for words. Where was this stuff when I was a little girl? Dressing fancy for me was being decked out in lace and ruffles from head to toe. It’s amazing how our little divas are being groomed at a young age to be very fashion savvy young adults. Check out some of my favorite finds on the internet and tell me what you think.
